January 2020. I wanted to finish this study as a line drawing at first, then I decided to add just a few washes of charcoal to clarify some shadows. I kept adding charcoal, until eventually was a full value study. Not an efficient workflow, but it was fun to experiment with combining different mediums. Pencil and charcoal on paper.
